Crib Bedding Sets Match Better and Are Cheaper

By Dorothea Frankson

You can find any kind of crib bedding you can possibly imagine, from crib sets for little girls to baby bedding sets for boys to bedding that works for either gender. Although you can buy the bedding pieces separately, it really makes more sense to buy a set. Baby crib bedding sets are exactly the same as buying a "bed in a bag" for an adult's bed. Bedding sets are the perfect way to ensure that all your bedding will match each other, and the nursery. You will need more than one crib sheet, but you can usually find matching crib sheets sold as separates.

Styles and fabrics are going to vary from set to set, so keep your preferences in mind.

It's usually a better idea to stick to fabrics like cotton or flannel, because they're machine-washable and won't break the bank.

If you like to redecorate frequently, bedding sets are great because you can change the look of the room just by buying a different bedding set.

It should go without saying, but make sure your bedding suits the gender of your baby. Of course you wouldn't want pink in a boy's room, but for some reason blue in a girl's room is fine. It's not something you'll need to worry about much, though. Manufacturers make what people buy, so you'll most likely find what you want anyway. In a little boy's room, expect to find cars, trucks, or football baby bedding. If you want a bright and vibrant nursery for your little boy, you should have no problem. There are plenty of bedding sets in greens, blues, oranges, and reds.Ponies, princesses, and paisley are common in a girl's nursery. Soft colors and pastels are more common for a feminine nursery. For a gender neutral nursery, consider abstract prints in neutral colors, animals, or stars and moons.

If you really can't find what you're looking for, you always have the option of custom bedding.

Nothing exudes love like a handmade gift, so if you can sew, you might want to create the crib set yourself.

Although baby bedding can be hard to choose, a good idea of what you want and how much you can spend will make the job much easier.
