However as easy and may seem it sometimes it can be proven difficult than originally thought. If you're in this situation in your ideas are beginning to come more slowly you are on the rights the right path. Because but to many decisions is hard to make a decision.

One of the first questions that you may find asking yourself is about the gender. Will you go for a boy specific theme such as trucks and cars or for a girl's theme such as fairies? If you can't make up your mind and decide what type of decoration you want for your baby's room, then it is probably better to go for a neutral theme.

The baby room will be something that a baby can feel safe in and feel at ease in. It will need to be decorated to bare all of this in mind and to getting the balance right is not always easy. There is such a big choice to choose from so it will all be down to a personal taste but the best thing to do is not to over do it too much. It can be an exciting time decorating the baby room and some people even like to show their creative side by designing their own stencils and patterns.

Another important fact to consider when decorating your baby's room is the life span of the decoration and themes you choose. You have to think if your baby is going to be happy there when he or she is older or if you are going to be happy redecorating the whole room after a couple of years. If you really enjoy decorating, how frequently do you think you will be glad to do it?

The easiest option for some parents to be is to decorate the room with a neutral color and from there just add pieces of furniture, area rugs and small accessories that will make the room comfortable for both the baby and the mother to be. After all, this is the room where the baby will spend most of the time. These pieces of furniture and rugs can be easily changed with time as the child grows up.

However, attractiveness in a baby's room must take second place to safety. So before you buy - or make - anything, make sure you check for the latest safety guidelines. Using your common sense is of course the main thing, but sometimes issues arise that hadn't occurred to even the most devoted parent, so it's always a good thing to do some research and see what the latest studies say.

You will also have to decide on the type of furniture you will want to furnish the room with, will the cot be expandable to become a single bed after some years or will it be a cot that won't expand to bed? Will you consider having a rocking chair for breastfeeding the baby in the room or will you just have an armchair?
