It's wonderful when a new baby comes to your family. But along with the new baby comes a new set of logistical problems that you might not have thought of before. Just ask any mother who has her first baby how much more difficult it is getting around with a baby compared to how it was before baby. You need a baby stroller.
The good news is that modern baby strollers are extremely good. In the past when all you could do was to find a steel pram getting the pram into and out of the car was a real tussle, and it wasn't entirely user friendly. Or baby friendly.
They are easy to fold up and put into the car, and to assemble again. They are lighter than they used to be and easier to push around. And should come with some storage for mums shopping.
And as well as being more mum friendly modern baby strollers are baby friendly too. They have comfortable seats which should recline so that baby can sit up and look around or sleep. And for the growing baby they should also have adjustable foot rests too. And they absolutely must have a solid 5 point harness that can be adjusted so that baby is always held securely, because in the past there have been accidents with babies trying to stand up in the pram if insufficiently restrained.
And you should choose a stroller with a good brake. That's important. You should engage the brake every time the stroller is stopped. It should operate on all wheels and by one foot action, and be capable of holding the stroller when fully loaded on a hill. Even so don't stop on a hill, or if you must stop the stroller across the hill for maximum safety.
And believe it or not a good modern baby stroller shouldn't cost the earth either. They are surprisingly inexpensive if you know where to look. I've just been perusing some new triple strollers that costs around $200 new. Now that's a cheap triple stroller, though good quality. And when you have a baby you can't afford to be spending up big. At $200 that's cheap convenience.
So remember, if you have a baby, a stroller is very cheap convenience for you and comfort for baby. It's way easier to get around using a stroller than it is without. Cheap convenience and comfort.
